Junior Golf

At Kinsale, we pride ourselves on having an appropriate program to help introduce the game and improve the skills for any junior golfer. Please check out our programming below where we foster a love of golf for Kinsale kids as young as 3 years old.

Pee Wee Golf Camps
- The Pee Wee Golf Camps are designed to introduce golf to boys and girls ages 3 - 5 years old. Camps are on select Tuesday mornings for 45 minutes. Pee Wee Camp topics include basics of the game, grip, stance, and swing. A camp highlight each year is having the campers hit water balloons. The Pee Wee Camps are limited to 20 participants per session and we ask that a parent or guardian remain at the camp for the entire 45 minutes.
Junior Golf Camps
- The Junior Golf Camps are designed for children ages 6 - 12 years old. The camps are four (4) straight days, Tuesday - Friday, from 8AM - 11AM each day. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, the golfers will meet at the practice facilities to work on their full swing, chipping, pitching, and putting. On Friday, campers will test their skills out on the golf course. Following on-course play, we host all the juniors to a banquet and provide lunch and awards.
Junior Events
- Two popular annual events at Kinsale are our Parent-Child Event and Youth Club Championship. The Parent-Child Event allows junior golfers to team up with a parent or grandparent and features different formats to fit different age groups, such as 2-Person Scramble for our youngest participants to Net Better Ball for teams featuring older kids. The Youth Club Championship is a stroke play event with different age groups playing from age-appropriate tee markers.

PGA Jr. League
- An in-house league with matches between Kinsale and Scioto Reserve teams. The format for the matches is a 2-person scramble which minimizes pressure on individual shots and promotes a fun experience for all involved. The main attribute that has made PGA Jr. League popular across the country is the team experience that rivals youth baseball, soccer, or basketball. Registration begins in March with the deadline at the end of April. Practices take place in May, and matches are played in June and July.
Junior Academy
- Beginner Academy:
  This 16 week program for students between the ages 7-10 years old is designed for golfers to learn basics and ensure a foundation of golf knowledge. Each student enrolled in this program will be assigned to a small group of four students. The small groups will meet one a week from April through July for one hour periods. During these meetings students will receive hands-on instruction for full swing, short game and putting. Students are encouraged to participate in PGA Jr. League to broaden their golf knowledge increase their exposure to the game, and help learn teamwork.
  $300.00 per month
  
  Intermediate Academy:
  This 16 week program for students between ages 11 and 14 years old is designed for players to work towards playing golf competitively. The majority of the program will be dedicated to improving the games of each player, preparing them for a tournament at the end of the summer. Students will be in small groups of five students will meet twice every week starting in April through July for one hour periods. During these meetings students will receive hands-on instruction for full swing, short game and putting. Students are encouraged to participate in the SOPGA Jr. Tour event at Canal Winchester on July 18th, 2024.
  $400.00 per month
  
  Elite Academy:
  This 16 week program is designed for students ages 15 years or older with the future collegiate golfer in mind. This program will focus on all things necessary to prepare high school golfers for college golf. Each student will be assigned to a small group of four students meeting once a week starting in April through July for two hour periods. Each practice will be dependent on what each individual needs to work on the most. helping them improve rapidly. Students will also be given three, one hour long individual lessons during the course of the program.

Kinsale Family Golf Night
- This new program invites all families and all ages to experience the game of golf. We will offer families the opportunity to play a round of golf to groom their skills in a fun setting. Kids will be encouraged to take advantage of the fairway tee markers. These evenings are open to all membership categories!
